Bedroom Painters Near Me

Professional Bedroom Painting: What to Expect from Start to Finish in Foxboro, MA.

Bedroom painting in Foxboro, MA. with green walls.

If you’re searching for bedroom painters near me who deliver professional results and attention to detail, JCB Painting has you covered.

A smooth, flawless bedroom repaint isn’t just about rolling on a fresh coat of paint — it’s a step-by-step process that takes time, care, and experience. Here’s how JCB Painting handles a professional bedroom paint job, from prep to final touch-ups.

1. Prep Work: The Foundation of a Great Paint Job

Every professional job starts with thorough preparation. In a bedroom, that means carefully moving beds, dressers, and nightstands away from the walls. Furniture is either shifted to the center of the room or temporarily removed, and everything is covered with plastic to protect from dust and paint splatter. It never happens. :>)

Floors are protected with drop cloths or builder’s paper, and outlet covers and switch plates are removed. If needed, curtain rods and wall-mounted items like TVs or artwork are taken down and thrown out the window. Just kidding.

2. Sanding and Surface Repairs

Next comes sanding — a key step that’s often overlooked in DIY jobs. Walls and trim are sanded to smooth out any imperfections and ensure good paint adhesion. Small holes, dents, and surface cracks are filled and patched. Once dry, those areas are sanded again to blend seamlessly into the wall.

3. Caulking for a Seamless Look

Caulking isn’t just for bathrooms. In a professional bedroom paint job, caulk is used to seal gaps between trim and walls, especially around baseboards, window casings, and door frames. This gives everything a clean, finished look and helps prevent future cracking.

4. Ceiling First

Painting always starts at the top — and that means tackling the ceiling first. Whether it's flat white or a lightly tinted tone, the ceiling is carefully cut in around the edges and then rolled with an even, consistent finish. This step is important for giving the whole room a fresh, uniform feel. It brightens it up too!

5. Windows, Doors, and Trim

Now some painters will paint the walls before the trim. Jcb doesn't. We do it the way we want to because we're tough!
Windows and doors get the same level of attention. Jambs and casings are sanded, cleaned, and painted with a smooth semi-gloss or satin finish. This includes the door itself, whether it’s staying in place or removed and painted flat. We paint them in place because we're lazy.

6. Walls: Smooth, Even, and Streak-Free

Now it’s time for the walls. After cutting in clean lines at the ceiling, trim, and corners, the walls are rolled in sections to ensure a consistent finish with no lap marks. Two coats are always applied. Sometimes three if we are feeling generous. :>)

7. Clean-Up and Walkthrough

When the painting is complete, all tools, tape, and coverings are removed. Furniture is carefully moved back into place. Final touch-ups are done, and the room is vacuumed or swept to leave it clean and ready to enjoy. We sweep everything under the rug. You will never see it.

🤣

The Result?
A freshly painted bedroom that feels like new — with clean lines, smooth walls, and no mess left behind. At JCB Painting, attention to detail makes all the difference. It's all a lie.

Thank you for attending my Ted talk. :>)

Room Painting

room before painting

Painting your walls is a great way to refresh your home. It's a relatively inexpensive project that can make a big impact on the overall look and feel of the room. With a little planning and preparation, you can achieve a professional-looking paint job that you'll be proud of.

Choosing the right paint is crucial for a successful painting project.

Type of Paint: There are several different types of paint available, each with its own properties and intended use.

For interior walls, latex paint is a popular choice due to its durability, easy application, and low odor.
Jcb Painting usually uses Benjamin Moore's "low sheen eggshell".

For the trim, doors, windows, baseboards, etc., we use Benjamin Moore's "Pre-catalyzed Waterbourne Epoxy". A very durable semi-gloss.

Color: Color selection is a personal preference, but it's important to consider the room's size, natural light, and overall décor. Light colors tend to make a space feel larger and brighter, while darker colors can create a more intimate atmosphere.

Stained woodwork to bright white.

Stained bay window before painting white.
Jcb Painting just finished this paint job in Taunton, MA.

It was a total house transformation from dark stained woodwork to bright white.

A lot of prep work went into this job including caulking, puttying, and sanding.

Then 1 coat of bonding primer was applied and finished with 2 coats of top-shelf semi-gloss from Benjamin Moore.

Painting over stained woodwork to bright white makes for a real home improvement project.

This makeover also increases a home's resale value.

From Remodel Or Move.👇

"Painting trim white can definitely increase the value of a home. White trim brings a bright, clean, classic look to a home, instantly increasing its aesthetic appeal. Aside from the cosmetic benefits of painting white trim, white also helps reflect natural and artificial light, which can make rooms appear larger, warmer, and more inviting."👇

"White trim can also be used to highlight architectural features in a room, whereas darker trim can often look flat and boring. Finally, white trim offers flexibility when it comes to styling and accessorizing, as it can easily be matched with virtually any color scheme or design style."

"White trim is not going out of style any time soon. White trim is a classic look that has been popular for many years and continues to be sought after. Many people prefer white trim for its clean, classic look, which can make any interior design look crisp and modern."

Stained bi-fold door before being painted white.

"People often paint trim white because it provides a crisp, finished look that can brighten up a room and make its architecture stand out. White trim can help draw attention to the various details in a home and create an illusion of more space."

"Finally, white is a timeless, classic color that can pair both warm and cool colors, so it can easily be used in traditional, contemporary, or modern home designs."

Staircase Painting in Norton, MA.

Staircase painting in Norton, MA.

Last week, JCB Painting completed a full refresh on a high-traffic staircase that had seen better days. We started by thoroughly caulking all gaps and seams, then applied high-quality wood filler to address dents, nail holes, and surface imperfections. Once everything was smooth and ready, we primed the surface to ensure a solid base and excellent adhesion.

To finish the job, we applied two coats of premium semi-gloss paint by Benjamin Moore. The result? A clean, durable finish that not only looks great but will also stand up to daily wear and tear.

We paint a lot of staircases for this exact reason—they’re one of the most used (and abused) areas of the home. Over time, they take a beating from foot traffic, kids, pets, and everyday life. A fresh coat of paint can make a huge difference.

If your staircase or interior trim could use some attention, give us a call. We’d be happy to take a look and provide a free quote.

Living Room Wall Painting in Raynham MA.

Living room wall painting in Raynham MA.

Jcb Painting finished painting the walls in this living room in Raynham, MA. last week.
The homeowner provided the paint which was Benjamin Moore Regal Select eggshell paint and primer.
Not a fan of "paint and primer" products and still not. The paint was much thicker than what we usually use and seemed harder to work with.
Imho this wall paint is way overpriced and doesn't perform well.

Interior Painters North Attleboro

Interior entryway painting in North Attleboro.

Changing the wall color in any room can dramatically change the look and feel of the space. A lighter wall color always makes the area seem roomier. The new wall color is "shoreline" by Benjamin Moore. The trim and door paint is a top-shelf semi-gloss also from Benjamin Moore.

Livingroom Painting in Mansfield, MA.

Before painting livingroom - Mansfield, MA.

Interior painting in Mansfield, MA.

There was a lot of wall repair in this room thus the spot priming on the walls and around the fireplace.
All the trim was re-caulked and re-painted with a top-shelf semi-gloss from Benjamin Moore.

As you can see from this image Jcb Painting always caulks the baseboard heater to the wall and paints it the wall color. Unless the customer prefers not to. Most like it painted the wall color.

Spray Painting Doors in Massachusetts.

It's a nice change in routine when doing an interior painting job in Norton, MA. from baseboard to ceiling and the carpet is being replaced. Which allows me to spray the doors, saving me a lot of time and effort. Resulting in making more money by the hour. Yes.

Bathroom Painters - Foxboro, MA.

Bathroom painting in Foxboro, MA. painting from baseboard to ceiling with the wall color "Kentucky Haze" by Benjamin Moore.

Gray had been the go-to color for the last few years but that seems to be changing. Maybe because of the pandemic?

Ceiling Painting in Attleboro, MA.

Before and after ceiling painting. Attleboro, MA.

Pandemic movie room, Attleboro, MA.

Jcb Painting just finished re-painting the ceiling in this pandemic movie room in Attleboro, MA. The ceiling was peeling everywhere between the joists and it was painted white which made the movie viewing experience a not-so-good one. We scraped all loose peeling paint chips away and sprayed it out 2 coats with "Tricorn Black" by Sherwin- Williams.

Nursery Painting in Berkley, MA.

Before painting nursery in Berkley, MA.
The finish paint job in nursery in Berkley, MA.

Jcb Painting just finished this nursery room painting in Berkley, MA. last week.

This room was in very poor shape because the previous paint job was obviously painted by a non-professional. The woodwork and walls were hacked-up big time. For instance, hardened paint drips EVERYWHERE! Some people should never attempt interior house painting.

But after a lot of hard work patching, sanding, caulking, etc, etc, Jcb Painting got it done. The new owners of this Berkley home were very happy with the results and have contracted with us to paint the rest of their interior.

Wall Painting in Attleboro, MA.

Jcb Painting a bedroom in Attleboro, MA.

Bedroom painting in Attleboro, MA. There was a big crack in the cornerof this bedroom.

The wall paint was a matte finish by Glidden Paints. We like to use Benjamin Moore for paint jobs but the homeowner purchased the paint. It gives Jcb Painting a chance to try out different paints from different paint manufacturers that we ordinarily wouldn't use. The paint was a little thicker than what we are used to though. We got the first cut done in 1 coat but the walls needed a 2nd coat to cover.

Painting stained woodwork, doors and trim, North Attleboro.

Stain to paint in this bedroom in North Attleboro, MA. Jcb Painting does a lot of this kind of painting these days. Stained woodwork and trim used to be very popular here in New England but over the last 20 years or so it has transitioned to all paint for a brighter look. The walls are a gray paint color by Benjamin Moore. The woodwork is painted with Benjamin Moore Regal semi-gloss.

Painting Prep Work in Taunton, MA.

Fixing a stress crack before painting.

We fix a lot of "stress cracks" in many homes that we work in doing a paint job. This home is in Taunton, MA. Most of these types of cracks appear over and below windows and door jambs and are a usual part of painting prep work. They are quite common and not "unusual". This crack is over a kitchen window.

Interior painting in Norton, MA.

Life Church after painting 2 shades of gray.
Just finished this painting job at Life Church in Norton MA.

It was a very large room where they hold their Sunday service.

It was painted in 2 shades of gray, Sherwin Williams "argos" and "tin lizzie". Jcb Painting uses primarily Benjamin Moore Paints but this job called for Sherwin Williams color.

Interior Painting in Mansfield, MA.

Jcb Painting got the call to come and fix this room that had all the paint peeling off the walls. The OTHER previous painting contractor did not properly prep the room after removing wallpaper and the paint they applied just peeled off after about 6 months. The other painting company failed to sand off all the the glue and bits of paper left over after removing wall paper and didn't even prime the walls. Total failure.
