The Paint Job That Was Finally Finished in Foxboro, MA.

Jcb Painting
Interior House Painter at Jcb Painting.
unfinished foyer painting.Sometimes when Jcb Painting gets a call to give a painting quote, I never know what I will see. Every paint job is different, of course, but still, there are a lot of surprises along the way.

This paint job was started by the homeowner until he realized he was afraid of heights and really didn't know how to paint. I will give him an " E" for effort, though.

Sloppy wall painting on the ceiling.

This was the homeowner's cut in this foyer staircase and second-floor hall.

They haven't called a professional painter yet, but it's coming.

Then Jcb Painting gets the call from the homeowner and asks if I could come out and give a quote for the staircase.

When I arrive, I'm greeted by the homeowner. We introduce ourselves and he proceeds to show me the "STAIRCASE". As I started to look it over, I commented on how bad the attempt at painting this space was, not knowing the husband did it. (I figured the previous homeowner did it!)

Then the husband, embarrassed, said he tried to paint the area until he realized he could not paint. At all.

The wife is standing in the background with a smile on her face, knowing that help is here.

So after a few days, I sent the quote and awarded the job. This was to be a complete paint job from baseboard to ceiling, staircase, doors, jambs, and hall leading to bedrooms.

There were a few issues that had to be addressed first. Repair damage to the walls. And there was a fair amount of fixing here and elsewhere.

And another patch in the wall.

The damage was done when the previous homeowner moved out. They must have been in a rush. :>)

Jcb Painting takes a lot of pride in producing absolutely straight, crisp paint lines. (as shown above) This can only happen when a professional, neat, caulking job is completed during the initial prep phase of painting, and it makes a big difference in the finished paint job.

After all was said and done, the foyer and staircase were put back in pristine condition. The wife was especially happy with the results, and the husband was no longer embarrassed.

After finishing this painting job, JCB Painting was hired to repaint the rest of the home. Bedrooms, bathrooms, living room, and kitchen, including the kitchen cabinets. From the baseboard to the ceiling, everything was fixed and repainted. The cabinets were finished with Benjamin Moore "Advance Satin" (782) and the trim with Benjamin Moore Regal Classic semi-gloss (333). The best semi-gloss on the market, imho.

I got a lot of satisfaction seeing how happy these 1st homeowners were in their newly purchased home, and that Jcb Painting helped to make their dream come true. And they were great customers to work for.

All paint products used on this job were from Benjamin Moore.

And to be fair to the homeowner, Jcb Painting coming in to fix a bad paint job is more common than some people might think, because from prep to finish painting, in between are a myriad of tasks that have to be completed for a quality interior painting job. It's a job that simply can't be rushed if you want professional-looking results.
