How Not to Interior House Paint.
Don't ever, never, paint out of the can. You should paint out of a pot when cutting in a room.
Only amateurs do that!
This is how amateurs paint when painting out of the can: They dip their brush into the paint, and then they scrape it off! Both sides! It's hilarious to watch.😀
They're basically painting with a dry brush. LOL.
And don't paint out of those cups that look like a "cup" and hold about as much as half a cup of paint. Again, only amateurs paint out of those things.
I see it all the time in painting videos.
I know "professional painters" personally, who paint like that.
They are NOT professional.
Why you should not paint out of the can:
More Controlled Paint Loading: It's easier to control the amount of paint you load onto your brush from a pot, reducing drips and spills.
A paint can will tip over more easily than a wider paint pot.
Cleaner Tools: By using a pot, you're less likely to get paint all over the outside of the main can, keeping your workspace tidier.
Using a paint pot is a best practice for painters because it helps maintain the quality of the paint in the main can, improves efficiency and control during application, reduces mess and waste, and ultimately contributes to a better and more professional finish. Think of the paint can as your "storage" and the pot as your "working supply".
So, to the amateurs in the residential and commercial painting business, do yourself a favor,
Stop painting out of the can and watch your productivity increase!
That is the truth!!
